By accessing or using Cipher Portal (this “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may change these Terms; the “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version. If you keep using the Service after changes, you accept the new Terms. For material changes, we may add a site notice when practical.
The Service is an educational and utility site for working with classical ciphers and related features. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to break or overload systems; using the Service in violation of law; harassing others; or using automated means to abuse the API in a way that harms performance or other users. We may limit or block access in case of abuse or risk.
Output is for general information and learning. Cryptography that is “classical” is not a substitute for modern security designs where strong confidentiality is required. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on tool output, including legal, compliance, or security decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us to use the Service in the period giving rise to the claim, or (b) zero if the Service is free.
The Service may display ads (for example, via Google AdSense) and rely on third-party infrastructure. Those parties have their own terms and policies. We do not control third-party services.
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent allowed by law.
We may suspend or end the Service or your access, with or without notice, for operational, legal, or security reasons. We may also change features. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability) will survive.
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where required otherwise by mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction as required by those rules may apply.
Questions about these Terms may be sent using the contact method on the main site, if provided.
